Thanks for the enormous amount of work you did. It is a neglected field, and a lot of these illustrations are very well done.
I guess you could write a master thesis about this artwork and the times they were published. It is quite astonishing how open it sometimes is in the Shudder Pulps, especially if you compare it with the later illustrations in the Men's Adventure Magazines after the war.
Or you can just enjoy it.

Thanks, Andreas. There's much enjoyment - and plenty of head-scratching - to be had trying to work out who did what? For the most part, I prefer to concentrate on the less celebrated painters and line artists of the 20s & 30s, some only known by a single initial or unintelligible signature. Hope to drift up similar threads over coming weeks.
