Pan Horror bookmarks and the back to all three of them. Images for the two bookmarks (red banner and screaming girl) come from my private collection, so it's pretty cool that Pan have replicated them for all to own! want want want They are precious things indeed. I can but quote my esteemed vault collegue...Want, want, want.

I took the train back to Norwich with Mr Barker and he is lovely company (and this is while suffering my first hangover in years... ) Very interesting and erudite chap. I think we're going to meet up in the next month or so and am looking forward to it. Have a copy of TENEBROUS and I read a few stories while in the pit last night, and he knows how to write. My review of TENEBROUS, if anyone interested: nullimmortalis.wordpress.com/2010/10/31/tenebrous-tales-by-christopher-barker/

That's an enthralling review, Des, and one which makes me wish I had been able to get hold of a copy of this book, even though I have read onme of the stories (courtesy of the author).
I am glad that some people are prepared to look past the bad impressions sometimes given by Chris Barker online. It just shows how easy it is to put people off by getting embroiled in online disputes, however much you may feel justified in your assertions. Being right doesn't mean that you'll look right, as more people than CB have found to their cost!

I love the reissue and not only for the stories within. It's a fine looking book - glad they went for the original cover and gave it a retro feel.

No more re-issues, but getting new volumes published is an ongoing project.

Got the paperback edition this week from Amazon. Very good foreword, Johnny. It answered a lot of questions, mainly what is so special about Pan which for a non-Brit like me can be a bit puzzeling sometimes.
But the stories are also fun. I just browsed, still got stuck in immediatly in the Fielding, in Horror in the Museum and the Quinn. I have read these so often in my life, and Museum is in retrospect in many regards a horrible blueprint for so many lame Mythos stories, but I love it to pieces.
Same goes for Quinn´s House, which has all the elements todays writing classes would describe as to avoid. And it is still a joy to read.
It is understandable that these made quite an impact back then.
