Hopefully getting the promos into every goody bag at Alt Fiction and FCon this year. Also Pan will be reproducing a couple of things from my archive that you'll be able to get when you buy a copy of the book. There are talks of a launch party in a pub somewhere - will hopefully get some of the Pan authors together for a bit of a shindig. Really looking forward to it finally arriving - being the project editor for Pan '59 has been as hard work as it was getting BFTD out. But totally worth it. And shows you what hard work and being a bit of a lunatic can achieve....

Does this mean that reprints of Pan 2 3 4 5 etc are planned? Or is this a once-off sort of thing?

There are plans in place if the re-issue sells well.

Many congratulations, Johnny.
I don't actually have any of the very early PBoHs (my limited collection contains only nos 5,6,7,8,9,14 & 16), so this re-issue will be a huge boon for me!

"Coming out Oct 1st. Hope people will buy a copy!"
But naturally!
Hope it sells as well as the firsttime round fifty years ago.

Well, a nice man in a white van brought these round today: Bet he nearly took away the grinning lunatic who took the box off him. You must be chuffed to bits.

Top result! Well done Johnny. It must be fantastic to have all that hard work finally pay off; and how!

Congratulations, Johnny. You have worked hard for this - and without your efforts this book would not have been published again. Let's hope it brings in the same number of fans it did the first time it was published.
And lets hope Pan are encouraged to go on and bring out new volumes of that great series.

Cheers folks, it's been an absolute pleasure to get this book back out there - I hope the reaction to it is a positive one. My main reason for getting involved with the project was that if it gets any kids hooked into the horror that we were all into when we were young and impressionable - then maybe the authors we all put on a pedestal might still be there for a few more generations to come. The other reason was that someone said it could never be done.
