Well done Johnny!
There's been a thump on the attic door that I'm sure means Lady P agrees and not at all that she's hungry.

Also I, Jojo Lapin X, have it on order! So further volumes should be pretty much guaranteed by now, right?

Hopefully it'll hit Australian shores soon. I'm looking forward to Johnny's history of the series - great stuff!

Looks like something else to squander my worthless Yankee currency on! Best wishes for the success of this re-issue. Love the cover!

Pre-launch at the Fantasycon tomorrow, John Probert will be doing a reading of Oscar Cook's HIS BEAUTIFUL HANDS, then the launch - then it's over. Or is it?

I would like to thank John Probert for the excellent reading of Oscar Cook's HIS BEAUTIFUL HANDS and to all the people who came along, listened to my wankered speech and to everyone who bought the book. It sold out - and if that's any indication as to how sales go, well - that would be a very nice thing indeed! Photos when I get them!

Whoa! Them be big photos David ! Is that Chris Barker in one of them, with the bauhaus t-shirt, in the background? It really looks like him. Mark S.

It is he, Mark.
I think if I make any more public appearances I'll leave my head at home.

Whoa! Them be big photos David ! Is that Chris Barker in one of them, with the bauhaus t-shirt, in the background? It really looks like him. Mark S. That's Chris Barker, Mark. You're spot on. And amazingly perceptive. I'd actually seen CB earlier in the bar, talking with Reggie Oliver. Which was when I went over and introduced myself to him. And found that he is a really nice bloke. We had a very pleasant chat, during which I praised the one story of Chris's I've read - one he emailed to me some time again - and which is in Tenebrous Tales. We ended shaking hands. Sorry if that upsets anyone, but, sod it, he is a totally different man to the one so many of us are familiar with online when you meet him face to face. Which I somehow felt sure would be the case all along. Anyway, glad to have met him. And, I'll admit, I deliberately included him in this photoghraph. By the way, if anyone doesn't like me actually finding Chris Barker a nice bloke, tough. Facts are facts. Also, I didn't realise these photos would come out so huge here. Whoops. So I have modified them. David

By the way, if anyone doesn't like me actually finding Chris Barker a nice bloke, tough. Facts are facts. David I met CB face-to-face a few years ago at a BFS open night. As you say he was very charming. I too warmed to him. But, in my subsequent online experiences, that charm vanished the instant I disagreed with him. Still, I understand he has been seriously ill recently, and I'm truly sorry to hear that. I hope his health rapidly improves. Mark S.
