Will spare you the traditional terrible promo graphic for now (mainly because it was too embarrassing). December has crept up on us again, so am testing the water to see if we can still find anybody willing to put their literary reputation on the line and donate a short supernatural/ horror story and/or illustrations to a Sixth [!] Vault Advent Calendar? As ever, I have absolutely zero in reserve, so figured it best to send out S.O.S. a week early, give the thing a fighting chance. Have also got a new exercise in just in case, plus "4 sticky notepads" (yellow pink green blue: Penine, available in all good £ shops).
Up for participation? You can either PM me or send an email to whitechapelgothicATgmail.com marking your message 'Vault Advent Calendar' or similar, and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Be well warned. There will be more, increasingly sick-making appeals every day throughout rest of the month.

What? Again already? It feels like we just had one. I've only just taken the fucking decorations down from last year! (or so it seems...In reality it was the 1st of Jan). I do love these advent calendars, and have contributed to at least one. I'll have a butchers to see what shite is lying on the hard drive. I suspect not much as I have been reviewing films since May and re-writing the pile of shite I call a novel. You never know, though. |

"Over-the-top, gruesome ghost story" ticks all the right boxes. Corkers, but my in-box has gone into meltdown since earlier appeal! Another 22 stories and we're sorted (assuming world lasts until Dec. 24). Thanks to Mr. Riley for his unspeakably generous donation - it is much appreciated, David. |

It wasn't looking too rosy this time yesterday, but seems we have ten slots filled (and a big and genuinely grateful 'thank you' to those concerned). New notebook unsullied no longer, likewise blue and yellow sticky notes. Also, have just rehearsed latest slimy "dear nice reader, you have been cordially invited to submit a story to the Vault Advent Calendar ..." appeal in front of the bride. That's her you can hear throwing up in the bathroom. Don't laugh. They go out over the weekend. Unless ....  |
