I decided to watch some old Christmas TV, but I then said to myself why should I have to suffer alone? I mean have all the fun? So now you can join me as we explore old TV Christmas Sitcom Land! Here some of the greatest comedy episodes in television history will be served up to get you in the Christmas spirit. Bartenders await us? Let's see shall we?

I don't know where bartenders came from, that should be what wonders await us. But perhaps after viewing these we will indeed want to visit a bartender to drown our sorrows. My tablet died, so stay tuned while it recharges, and I upload the link to our first sitcom.

I can't get my tablet to turn on, but when it does we can watch together. While we wait you may want to ponder what future comedy Christmas episodes we can watch. I have to say the one I picked is a bit of a mystery to me, but it has all the makings of a thrilling ride into adventure! Just for the men I picked one with women in uniform. Because you are all monsters.

I'm sure there are some shy guests equally eager to watch with we Vault denizines.
Edited as could be misconstrued.

I don't think my tablet is coming back. Maybe it had some inkling of what was coming with that sitcom and decided to give up the ghost.

Well what did people think? It was a decent idea, and not what I expected, but the ending just sort of petered out.

Next time I think I'd like a 1960s or 1970s Christmas special. One that is set in that period too. Perhaps you can suggest one? Why don't you join the site and share your thoughts? It's anonymous, so no one will know you, so you don't have to be shy.

I'm off to read Saki, but maybe we can watch another sitcom together tomorrow. Goodnight.

My tablet is slowly recharging so hopefully it will be ok for later. My phone wouldn't let me directly embed the video in the post last night, so I had to add additional code by hand to get it to work, which was a bit of a hassle. Also watching it on the phone itself wasn't the perfect solution. I have chosen a video to watch, it is a Christmas episode of a show I've never seen, from 1961. But I won't tell you what it is, so you will have to check in later to find out. In last night's it may have seemed that they were badly overacting in the flashback scenes to people who aren't British, but really it is pantomime style acting, where that is expected. I don't know if many other nations have anything like our pantomime plays, which are a particularly Christmas tradition. I know many parts of the Commonwealth still do, and Ireland.
Edited to say did you spot the well known Carry on Actress? Also there was another woman in it who was in some Carry On movies. I'm sure most of these actors were well known comedy mainstays in their time.

There are many, but a few leap to mind: The Good Life, Silly But it's Fun, 1977, is delightful Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? 1974 xmas special Any Porridge Xmas special Safari Horror: The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, Nightmare in the Park, 1976. You can find this on YouTube but you may want to watch all three series of this outstanding 70s comedy series (based on the books by the equally outstanding David Nobbs)
