Some more "Summer in the City" music for you. The best song The Rolling Stones never wrote... Great band! I saw them in DC back in 2000. A friend was a big fan, and I went along just for kicks. I wound up meeting the band, and they seemed very mellow. However, I didn't start listening to them until I heard "We Used To Be Friends" as the theme song for Veronica Mars (first season was great; second was OK; third was disappointing). Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia and Welcome to the Monkey House are both worth a listen. So is Come On Feel The Dandy Warhols, which includes spacey covers of CSNY's "Ohio," ACDC's "Hell's Bells," and Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." |
