What is the logic behind the name "Thana Niveau"? Just curious.

Thana's stories have been a bit of a highlight in the Black Books I'll go along with that. Of the others, I can vouch for Antlers as a really nasty, proper horror story, and the manic "Victorian giallo" White Roses, Bloody Silk, perhaps my favourite of Thana's creepy tales after The Coal Man. The title story was among the ghoulish goodies showcased on the Vault advent calendar for 2010. Good news for Black Book of Horror fans is that the forthcoming volume 9 includes the all-new The Things That Aren't There.

What's the logic behind the name "Jojo Lapin X"? Equally curious. There were already several other "Jojo Lapins."

There were already several other "Jojo Lapins." But what if someone else were to style themselves as number X online? I have referred the question to my legal team.

Meanwhile, let me mention that I wrote the introduction to Thana's book. ... and let me mention that i just read and much enjoyed your commentary. I also like that Lady P. has provided story notes, though it will be the devil's own job leaving them till last. What a boost in the arm at the end to a trying week! Hot on the heels of the latest from the Black Monk of Mortbury, an emergency survival package from the Gray Friar himself, enclosing Mr. Finch's Enemies At The Door, Terror Tales Of East Anglia and Lady Thana's début collection! Tonight's story for bedtime chose itself. There is no way on this miserable planet i could ever resist a story entitled Pigs, and sure enough, it's a nasty one, vaguely reminiscent of Philip McDonald's classic, Our Feathered Friends. Amy and Will are carrying on a steamy relationship behind the backs of their respective partners, classical musicians Mike and Carol. Sneaking out from a performance to picnic and grapple in the countryside, the lovers are caught in an almighty rainstorm. When Amy badly twists her ankle, there's nothing for it but to shelter overnight in a decrepit cabin. Amy is deeply upset to find they're sharing the leaking hovel with a particularly ugly boars head, and Mike isn't especially keen on the thing either. He dumps it outside before they bed down, the pair now resolved to leave their other halves for good. Darkness falls. The boar's head returns. With company ....
