Thanks Matt. I didn't get down to Forbidden Planet until it was on Holborn, then the signing was in Shaftesbury Avenue (Dude now loves the store too!).

I went to my second ever convention over the weekend - Conflux 10 in Canberra. Very small, but good fun. Had a table in the dealer's room with all funds going to the Australian Horror Writer's Association - I thought it might be a cunning idea to source the books from Horror: 100 Best Books and Horror: Another 100 Best Books (the book essay number is on each post-it note so the average punter could read the essay):   The AHWA fundraiser started Friday night with an open mic short story comp judged by Aus horror stalwarts Kaaron Warren and Rob Hood - and World Fantasy award winner Margo Lanagan read a beauty (evidently written in an hour). |
