I posted a link to my replacement for the deleted Haunted Dolls House at the FC board a while ago. I think it's finally ready to post it here. Although the site contains (or will contain) much of the old Dolls House content, including the film slideshows ( Dr Phibes, Blood From the Mummy's Tomb (etc.), comic book art like Skywald's The Victims, and write-ups of books by authors like Aldiss, Hugh Zachary, Russell Braddon's Comittal Chamber - there's now more emphasis on newer anthologies and collections. The real key to the site is this Authors and Titles page. Various new writings covered are: Daniel McGachey's They That Dwell in Dark Places, Craig Herbertson's School: The Seventh Silence, Sean Wright's When Graveyards Yawn, Charles Black's Fifth Black Book of Horror, D F Lewis's collection Weirdmonger and his 7th and 8th Nemonymous anthologies, Zencore and Cone Zero; also Coral King's The Thinking Man's Crumpet first issue, and Filthy Creations 1 and FC 3 have been put up so far, with synopses. The pages on anthologies/magazines by new writers also contain links to those writers sites - when I could find them. The link is usually found by clicking authors name/story title on the review page, with other links often at the foot of each page. So for example this page Authors and Titles, takes you to a review; and if you don't want to know who wrote what story in Cone Zero, then keep your mouse away from the story titles on this page: Cone Zero - hovering the mouse over a title will show the author, while clicking on the title takes you to their site (if found) - this from an idea by Des Lewis. Where possible I'm linking back pages to where they originated - often, right here at the Vault.

Great work! Easy on the eyes, good writing, a lot of information. Anf thanks for the sideshow ;D I really should re-watch Dr. Phibes and Blood of the Mummy´s Tomb. I would trade ten Megan Fox or whoever is the flavour of the day for one Valerie Leon Incidently I am just reading Wayne Kinsey´s first book on Hammer movies which is fascinating stuff. Especially the never-ending battles with the censors over things which from todays point of view are so absolutly idiotic and bizarre it defies belief.

Thanks for the comments on the site, folks. There will be more info on the 'older' authors soon (Machen and Howard are already represented), the idea being that the site should attract a wider readership with old and new being shown side-by-side. I'm hoping that with time, linking the pages back to relevant Vault pages might provide a small solution to the old problem of finding stuff here. On the other hand, no... that's just wishful thinking! Incidently I am just reading Wayne Kinsey´s first book on Hammer movies which is fascinating stuff. Especially the never-ending battles with the censors over things which from todays point of view are so absolutly idiotic and bizarre it defies belief. Looks like a must-have book. The censors... I remember reading John Trevelyan's comment in Supernatural magazine in the '70s, that film companies often provided black and white shots of scenes that worried the censors - but when they got the final colour prints, they found the film nothing to worry about. And Gorgo got an 'X' because it had a loud soundtrack!

Well done Rog. Just the word mandarin or whatever it is called is enough to send out a wave of grief. Good to have you back on the case again

to go further, in a fit of complete idiocy there is now Terra Incognita (http://psychickwars.wordpress.com) which is an attemot to make a spin-off series from a bunch of posters that aren't popular and haven't even sold any yet.
why?
