Happy Birthday Ms Troo Happy Birthday to you
I have a Pantechnicon badge, which I shall don in your honour and wear for the rest of the day (I presume I was given this at a BFS Open Night)
All best Mark S.

OK I've taken that on board, what you'd like is to open the cover and a large custard pie shoot out whilst one of those "singing card" devices shouts obsenities to the tune of "happy birthday"? God, you lot are hard to please

Very likely, Mark. Either by a curly-haired crazy lady, or by me with no voice That, Coral, would be fantastic!

Very likely, Mark. Either by a curly-haired crazy lady, ... I hope you're not referring to me, Troo! It depends on whether it was a BFS open evening in York (me) or London (Troo) I suspect.

Submissions are now CLOSED. I don't care if it's only 9.30. I have been absolutely overwhelmed and have now drawn the line. Anything that comes in during the next 2 and a half hours will be considered for issue 2. I just had a submission half an hour ago, hell, talk about leaving it till the last minute. I have a couple of items already on hold for issue 2 that were too good to allow to escape, and have finalised the line up for issue 1, which is as follows:
CASSANDRA by Anna Stephens ORIGAMI by Roswell Ivory TRANSMAT by Caroline Callaghan LADY MEDUSA by Roswell Ivory POLLUTION OF THOUGHT by Bubo STIFF by Trudi Topham THE CROWDS CHEERED by Virginia Powell HEAD by Emily Jones
Thank you to everyone who put forward their work for submission. The cover etc are underway, I will post some images here in the near future for anybody who's interested.

Funnily enough, I was just wondering if I ought to post a message asking how it was coming along, Coral. That's great! I see you're in it too, Troo.
Looking forward to seeing the cover. Have you decided definitely on the title of the mag yet? When's it coming out exactly?

You're nearly there, Coral! That's incredibly good going in, what, just under three months? Do please post up the details when it's ready to go and, for what it's worth, you'll get a plug on that shortcut to an international best-seller, Vault of Evil!
The blushing bride is well flattered by your Name That Gargoyle ! competition! It's Fun! It's easy! It's free to play!

The end is in in sight, thanks Demonik. I think it will be a first, a magazine produced in a public library! Caroline, your story is playing havoc with the size of my fonts!

Caroline, your story is playing havoc with the size of my fonts! Sorry! I'm not technically minded, but is there anything I can do about it? I mean, should I send it to you in a different format or something?

I'm pulling your leg, sweet, I'm just fiddling round with the font size to get it to fit on one page, don't worry it looks super!
