my dearest grumpychops, I will be sending you a copy for your opinion, as I value it very much, with a sweetener in the form of a very large home made cake, so what colour icing do you prefer? As for illustrations, I never said the artwork had to be done by a particular sex.....and I'm awfully tired, and there's so much to do, sigh...and just think how sad Caroline will be to have to put up with one of my inferior scribbles...sigh...  |

Sorry, have I misunderstood - and, worse, offended you - Coral? I assumed that contributors being female meant illustrators as well as writers. And do you mean you do illustrations too (and have done one for my story)? I didn't know that. If you do (and if you have), I'll be delighted with it! Now I'm all confused and upset that I might have confused and upset you.   |

you are a silly sausage, yes I draw, but not half as well as mr Rog, and I was trying to wheedle an illustration out of him! you must forgive me, when I type these things they seem hilariously funny to me, but somewhere between my brain and the rest of the world there's a kind of wormhole that drains away the humour, either that or my sense of humour is completely inappropriate, I have always suspected as much anyhoo, anyone else for cake? |

Especially if it's chocolate (but don't let Troo know or there won't be any left for anyone else ) I wonder if now is a good time to mention this since we seem to be friends again. Coral, I'm having a little difficulty with your avatar - you might recall I had a similar problem with Johnny's (allthingshorror), when I couldn't scroll past his postings properly. Yours is now making my cursor go funny too - though not as bad as Johnny's did! I wonder if you've got a particularly large avatar too - if you don't mind me asking!  But if it's just me, don't worry about it .... |

It probably is my pic that's the problem, because when I joined I couldn't think what to put up, so I put up the photo of myself that I use for everything, and have never got round to changing it! It's quite a large photograph too. I love that photo because you can't see any of me in it, just my skid lid, there's actually a crater gouged out of the side you can't see where I slid past Llandudno on my head after hitting a patch of diesel.
I wonder if it would be better if I changed it for something smaller, technical advice please chaps

Anyway, I don't really feel safe here while Caroline's got her scissors out, so I suppose I'd better continue this elsewhere. It's alright, Rog, I wasn't going to use scissors - just a very tight rubber band. Wear one of those for a few weeks and the offending part shrivels and drops off after a while! |

eeek! that sounds horrible, but if it's anything like the bands the farmer used to put on lambs tails where I used to live, then at least it's painless!
Anyhoo, I have changed my picture for the one mr Demonik did for me, so could you let me know if I still make your computer go wibbly?
