I haven't listened to the album for ages. Will have to put that right very soon.

Sometimes I see odd recommendations on YouTube. So I thought I'd share some and we could judge them together. I don't remember clicking listen on these or having the urge to watch a video called Windscale Britains Biggest Nuclear Disaster, but YouTube must know what its doing, so lets give the music ones (not the nuclear disaster ones) a go.
First is this:

I don't know why YouTube thinks I'd be interested in Mike Tyson's best knockouts, but there you go.
Next is this:
(Has anyone heard of these acts before?)

I'm wondering if listening to something Shrink Proof or Doctor Strange put up on here was responsible for these recommendations. I found them all interesting. Recently I've found myself watching things on dailym****n more, especially the sitcoms Ripper and other people recommend.

I'm wondering if listening to something Shrink Proof or Doctor Strange put up on here was responsible for these recommendations. Quite possibly, and I liked all of them, though the only one of these bands that I was at all familiar with was Heartless Bastards - I bought their first album ( Stairs & Elevators) back in 2005, but never really kept up with them after that. Here's my favourite track from that album -

Some new & old songs I really like:
First, ska punk by The Interrupters
Now, swing from The Speakeasy Three:
Lastly, a great song from fellow Montrealer Steffi Shock, from way back in 2003
Here are the lyrics in both French & English:

We will meet in the sweet light of dawn.
As the Baker Street train spills your pain all over your new dress,
and the symphony sounds underground put you under duress,
well don't you squeal as the heel grinds you under the wheel.
Life's a long song.
Life's a long song.
Life's a long song.
But the tune ends too soon for us all.

Underneath the stars you met me And here beneath the stars you left me I wonder if the stars regret me I'm sure they'd like me if they only met me They come and go of their own free will Go gently Go gently

Oh, we couldn't bring the columns down Yeah, we couldn't destroy a single one And the history books forgot about us And the Bible didn't mention us, not even once
You are my sweetest downfall I loved you first

OK, here's a Marvellous Voice for you, specifically some classical Indian singing by Vinay Bhide, as he guests with Canadian neopsychedelic band Elephant Stone on their track "A Silent Moment". East meets West...
