Jon Hart (John Harvey) - The Mercenaries 2: High Slaughter (Mayflower Books, 1977, 128 pages) 1976/77 must have been busy years for John Harvey. He wrote novels for The Lawmen, Herne the Hunter, Caleb Thorn, The Mercenaries, Death Shop, the Scott Mitchell P.I. series and two novelizations.

Set in South America I think--Bolivia? Something about fighting ex-nazis or neo nazis? I've read it once only about 20 years ago and my recollection is a bit foggy on the details.

I have that one in my collection. Set in South America I think--Bolivia? Something about fighting ex-nazis or neo nazis? I've read it once only about 20 years ago and my recollection is a bit foggy on the details. I am afraid I never read this one. Back when I tried to get all PC novels in the early 2010s or earlier I also looked for other pseudonymous series by Harknett, James, Wells and Harvey. At the end I got pretty much, but not all. As far as westerns are concerned, I got nearly the whole set. Also I have most of the adventure series. But somehow I only read a few.
Harvey was a bit tough, I couldn't find his Scott Mitchell P.I. novels, for instance. But The Mercenaries I have almost complete. One is missing. I will post the rest.
