All nine stories have a title page illustration, but only "The Horde of Silent Men" is signed. It is hard to make out-maybe Jaysin Wilson? Jayem Wilcox, possibly? He was an regular contributor to Weird Tales and Magic Carpet around that time, providing interior art for, among several others Clark Ashton Smith's Isle of the Torturers, Henry S. Whitehead's The Chadbourne Episode and Hugh B. Cave's The Cult Of The White Ape, as featured on opening page of our Not at Night Gallery.

Comparing the signature in Ace Mystery Magazine to the much more legible signature in Weird Tales and I think you are correct and that it is Jayem Wilcox. Nicely done!

With regards to proofreading of the Fanatic, I do my best, but as I don't have any Horwitz books and am not that familiar with the publisher, I am afraid that I just missed that on the ToC. I am sure that Justin just uses the prior issue as a template, so that is why it keeps getting repeated. I will get that fixed for issue 49. I am not fond of the font as well. It does make it hard to proofread the punctuation. Thanks a lot for the hard work! It's very much appreciated. I'm not a regular reader of PF, but the last few issues got me hooked. Holding such a large-format, all-colour magazine in hand and poring over it just make me happy!
