I read only the afterword so far. Getting old oneself it is comforting to read a new afterword by Ramsey Campbell and see what he was doing in the last years. Next year he has published fiction for 60 years. A rare and astonishing thing, especially in genre. I don't know how he manage this, but it is – and I don't use this word lightly as it has lost nearly all its meaning through overuse – inspiring.

I ordered this one today. I'm intrigued by the book's description of a story involving an 'infamous nobleman and his dread companion'... which sounds like a sequel to a favourite story by a favourite ghost story writer.
