( silly draft cover by me - won't be the final one)
My final Noose & Gibbet book will be called BLOODY HELL: LOST TALES OF VAMPIRISM. Stories have *never* been reprinted and come from 1830-1910. It will be £25 and p&p - the first time the cost of one of my books has gone up since 2010. Book will be published in February 2024. Mike Mignola will be doing the cover and it'll be introduced by Stewart Lee. Been working on this one since 2017 - I was inspired by Alan Ryan and Richard Dalby when it came to this book - and hopefully I'll have added some substantial stories to what's already recognised.

Congratulations. A cover by Mignola? Wow. In todays publishing this is a beacon in the darkness. As someone who bought a copy of Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness just because the Mignola cover I presume this will be an extra reason to buy this.

Good luck with completing this effort; your draft cover is rather charming

I think the draft cover has a certain charm as well. It would stand out on the shelf, that's for sure!

I'm interested in these, particularly the earliest ones. Are some translations from other languages? There are a few German poems with elements of Vampirism. The Romantics seemed to like the subject.

I'm translating a German vampire story myself - and there's a story that someone has re-written based off the back of a French translation - but that's it really.
