internationalcrimefiction.org/2015/04/14/yellow-jackets/There are a lot of well known authors in this series. The original series of yellow jacket books ran from 1926 to the late 1930s, they were relaunched in 1949. I found it interesting that this article says, "Making the link between the original 19th Century railway Library “Yellowbacks” and the fad for giallo (yellow becoming -before noir, the colour of crime fiction) all over Europe, this series of bestsellers anticipate crime fiction paperbacks." Il Giallo Mondadori (Mondadori Yellow), is a series of crime fiction books published by Mondadori from 1929. We later get the giallo film genre.
