Will Collins - Grizzly (Pyramid Books, 1976, this edition Coronet Books, 1976, 157 pages) A novelization of the 1976 movie. It got bad reviews, earned a lot of money and the producer Montoro got later sued by the director and the writers for witholding the profits. They won. Will Robbins was a pseudonym for Edwin Corley, who in the 70s wrote thrillers like Sargasso, Air Force One, Siege or The Jesus Factor. The American cover of Grizzly - the movie poster - was done by comic book artist Neal Adams.

I've run into plenty of them, black bears. The blacks usually run when confronted by banging on pots and pans.
