A copy of this arrived today. Many thanks to my mystery benefactor. Hope they'll understand there's a scary backlog to clear before I attempt it.

Hi Dem, crossed wires between myself and fellow editor Andrew meant that you got sent this, but we both said that we were more than happy to send you a copy as you have always been very supportive of the series. There is certainly no expectation of a quick read. Enjoy at your leisure!

Blurb:
The world is a far darker place than you might think... Unthinkable terrors wait around every corner...
MALTA: An ageing storyteller must face many types of demons as he descends into... the Well of Ghouls! SCOTLAND: Unexpected evil lurks beneath Loch Ness, and it's nothing you'd expect to see on a postcard! ITALY: A dysfunctional family find that a rambling holiday is the least of their problems - but at least it will stop the bickering! ENGLAND: The Ladykillers are back... but their teeth are considerably bigger - putting the squealing into Ealing!
Turn the pages of this Atlas of Abominations, and allow us to take you on a journey across the globe. From the heights of Snowdonia to the deserts of Iraq, enjoy the views of Transylvanian hillsides and the grimness of urban Yorkshire, cower from the vampires of Greece, the mythical primates of North America and the Bunyip of Australia. Wherever you travel, however far you go, you must grip your passport tightly and keep moving. For you can run, but you can never hide from the myriad of international monsters lurking within the pages of this brand new BHF book of far-flung fears!
Prologue 1: Selene Paxton-Brooks - The Atlas of Abominations: Sussex, England. What becomes of the snatched infants replaced in their cots and prams by changelings? Only by securing a map, 'the Atlas of Abominations,' can the protagonist hope to locate them. The proprietor of a Brighton bookshop is determined to thwart her.
Prologue 2: Stephen Lang - Unsightly : Majorca. A bewildered Barry McGeoch is held by police following the murder of his elder brother Joe, while holidaying in Magaluf. To speed the interview along, DS Farrell produces a repulsive photograph of the dead man's destroyed face, whereupon Barry's stunningly attractive lawyer comes into her own.
Richard Freeman - Sea Beef: Antarctic. Captain Nakamura and the crew of the Shonan Maru come under attack from Bake-kujira, the necro-whale, and a flock of undead seabirds. Ken Shinn - Fish Story: Broken Hill, New South Wales. Jim Fitzpatrick defies old timer Col's warning that the bush stream belongs to the Bunyip, that he may fish there only on strict condition that he take home no more than he can eat. Fitzpatrick instead lays traps all along the water. Why pass on a lucrative sideline to humour a lunatic?
Kevin Hoxsey - Honour the Dead: Ambositra, Madagascar. A reanimated sorcerer replaces a much-loved father in his shroud during the sacred ritual of Famidihana, during which surviving family cleanse, rewrap, dance and talk with the remains of the deceased. The imposter leaves the tomb after dark to commit bloody murder.
Tim Hicks - Zulu Moon: Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. The full moon brings out the worst in Sergeant Maxfield during the defence of Rorke's Drift. Only the intervention of a monster hunter prevents his tearing apart the entire beleaguered garrison.
Sea Beef, Fish Story and Honour the Dead the personal stand-outs.

Nadia Mook - Operation Desert Storm: A reluctant conscript, fatally wounded in a desert airstrike, is much consoled by a Genie's offer of his heart's desire. "I want vengeance ... I want vengeance on Sadam, on the Americans and on the British. I want vengeance on the British. I want vengeance for everyone who has died during the wars and due to the sanctions, and I want my friends to share this vengeance with me so that they can rest properly and not in this desert." Consequently, the undead Rafiq leads an army of fellow reanimated dead in a march on Baghdad. Meanwhile, owls of all shapes and sizes gather on the rooftops of the bombed city. An aged Arab, who knows his own punishment is imminent, urges a British journalist to remain locked indoors until the souls of the unavenged dead have taken satisfaction. The following day, news agencies report mass loss of life during the deadliest sandstorm in the city's history.
Stuart Scott - A Line in the Sand: Kastellorizo, Greece. Kate Goodman travels to a small Mediterranean island to ghost-write the autobiography of a man-hungry celebrity she detests. With little to do but write, drink and sunbath, she obsesses on the portrait of Moros — eternal doom personified — hung on her hotel room wall, rashly goading; "You don't worry me, come and get it ..." Ian Talbot Taylor - Flash McGrath V: Greeks Bearing Claws : Faliraki, Greece and Brimblesham village, Northern England. Further adventures of Carl McGrath, former limb of Satan since cursed with a conscience. The Black Dog Inn is besieged by demonically possessed livestock and killer poultry. The ensuing massacre culminates in a reunion with Annie Murphy, ex-biker's moll turned cyber nun, just in time for ....
Ian Talbot Taylor - Flash McGrath VI: 'Now is the Winter of our Disco Tent' : ... a second attack, this one by McGrath's past victims resurrected as vrykolakas. Reconciliation with ghost of his punky-goth lost love and lack of cliffhanger ending suggests this may be the series conclusion?
David Huckvale - Aphrodite Armed: Milos, Greece. It's the archaeological find of the century! As Dr. Ben "the bastard" Weller excavates the arms of the Venus de Milo he's called back to England to attend his wife on her deathbed. How typically selfish of the woman to ruin his hour of triumph! If Angela's expecting a visit, she can hang on for a few more days.
Operation Desert Storm an early strong best-of-book contender. Aphrodite Armed is a delightful Tale for the Crypt.

"It's almost a pity those two can't talk anymore, it would have been nice to hear them plead for a bit while they were being swallowed."
Ken Shinn - Dracula's Tango: Transylvania. Dracula is bent on establishing an African stronghold, targets Haiti — "it deserves to play home to the true undead, not ignorant cannibals and undiscerning zombies." Tasked with dissuading him from such a course, Scarlet Ryder invests in new body jewellery before fronting the Count on his home turf.
Andy Allard - Most Beautiful View in the World: Alba County, Transylvania. The holidaying students are lured to Trascau Castle as the Coltesti villagers prepare to fulfil a three-centuries-old obligation to the Undead.
Andy Bark - Warm Autumn Blood: Castle Olesky, Lviv, contemporary war ravaged Ukraine. Olenka, a post-undead/ vampire's ghost, finds love in the arms of a patchwork Bride of Frankenstein girl with a fondness for 70s punk bands.
Chris Tighe - Save Your Breath: Cansiglio Forest, Pordenone, Italy. Having finally figured out why they are continually at one another's throat, Mum and Dad drag a reluctant Susan and Martin on a kamikaze nature ramble through the National Park. Ghoulish chuckles!
Tony Martucci - Mother of Comino: Maltese archipelago. An archaeological dig on the tiny island is plagued by earth tremor, fatal accident and the horrific death of a labourer maimed by a psycho pig. Stubbornly refusing to take a hint, Professor Challis descends the 'Well of the Ghouls,' reputedly home to a manifestation of Circe.
Nicely varied batch, mood swings all over the map. Fans of Lord Probert's ghastly horrors will surely enjoy Save Your Breath (at least, this one did). Ken Shinn's Dracula's Tango had me look up the 1910 Fruitgum Factory. I'll never write a kind word about his stuff again.

David Huckvale - Bloom of Youth: Munich. A robber gigolo discovers the terrible secret behind a corpulent, reeking, hideously obese horticulturalist's uncanny knack for cultivating prize-winning orchids and stunningly beautiful young men.
David Quantick - Zellaby-in-the-Moor: Dartmoor, Devon. Rev. Richard Vardy, vicar of St. Trigan's, shelters a strange young woman dragged half-drowned from the village pond. Julia has something vitally important to tell the community, if only she could remember ...
Andy Bark - Old Fossil: London. When dinosaurs ruled the earth: AD 1956. Army widow Mrs Wilberforce alone stands firm when King's Cross comes under attack from tetradactyl, t. rex and man-eating plants.
Ian Morgan - King Hanserk: Hankin, Worcestershire. Screenwriter Gerald Margerisen believes he's found the perfect setting for his contribution to a new BBC horror anthology. The village even has an abundance of grisly ghost legends, most notably that of an immortal deity who rid the community of a Scandinavian pirate warlord. Even today, the community honour King Hanserk with the occasional offering.
Chris Tighe - The Rot of the Stars: Snowdonia, Wales. To test the food-seeking abilities of fungi, an academic naturalist deposits a sack of offal before a patch of mould slime. Mankind now facing doom by sentient, tendrilled blob of ooze.

More stories of cryptozoological creatures, corpse-shaggers, thrill kill torturers, the devils music, vampires, a bloody busker and .... worse.
Jez Conolly - !Tat-tar-rat-tat!: Co. Offaly, Ireland. A post-nevertime kitchen sink drama of necrophilia, incontinence, self-mutilation sloth and terror, as orchestrated and narrated by the sadistic misanthrope responsible for all our suffering.
Simon J Ballard - It's Staring You in the Face: Madeira, Portugal. Taking a shine to an English tourist, a handsome young guide offers him a private trip to the Karlstein residence, ancestral home to a family of vampires whose exploits inspired Jess Franco's The Bare Breasted Countess. Things get out of hand. Warning: contains graphic depictions of holidaying Br*x*t*rds.
Sam Trafford - East of Rio Cobre: Los Angeles, via London and St Catherine, Jamaica. On the eve of her rare record sound clash with rival Gord Majestyk at the House of Bamboo, Melody persuades a legendary dealer to part with the only copy of producer Jackie Tong's late-sixties pressing, Tree Jancro, featuring Headley Brown's fiendish fiddle. Only problem is, the vinyl is cursed. Dare Melody risk her soul just to win short term bragging rights?
Andrew Llewellyn - Seven Mile: Seneca State Forest, West Virginia. After the funeral, a remorseful Gary Simpson, desperate to make amends for his negligence during those long months his wife lay dying, drives a protesting Hilary, seventeen, to the Seven Mile campsite in deepest no signal zone for a bonding weekend. His daughter is resentful that he seldom visited Mom at the hospital, that he was too busy "counting your cash ... from your bullshit job up North." Gary, ashamed to have prioritised business ambition over his family, is desperate to put thing right between them, and it seems Hilary is willing, even keen, to give him a second chance. Too bad another recently bereaved party, eight-feet tall, angry, ravenously hungry and aching with carnal desire, has noted two newcomers to the creek.
Rod Labbe - Itch Yer Imagination: Maine. Drunken, abusive step-dad and slob mom don't believe Lisa and her retard little sister when they tell them about the evil monkey's living in the attic.
Arthur Chappell - Student Exchange: Preston, Lancs, and Toronto, Canada. Vampires and man-eating wendigo operate a mutually beneficial exchange scheme, whereby each travel to the other's country to study respective hunting techniques. A successful arrangement — until a rogue visitor from the Great White North instigates a cannibal massacre in Avenham Park.
TN Shaw - The New Life: Brighouse, West Yorks, via Phoenix, Arizona. A prolific serial killer returns home to England to start anew. No more all night torture sessions, an end to butchering entire families just for the cheap thrill of it. Meet Mr. Nice Guy! And then some fool pub bully has to kick off.
Richard Freeman - Drake's Brier: Yorkshire. The wyrm comes out on the side of enigmatic tramp, 'Goatshead,' and the woodland conservationists in a stand-off with developers and the local constabulary.
Samantha Crosby - Siren: Manchester. A beautiful blonde busker in jolly Christmas jumper lures commuters to a fate far worse than a fate worse than death at Piccadilly station.

Actually, Flash will return in a prologue novella and the final part of the ongoing story. Then that will be that, though I expect to fill in gaps within his insalubrious career every now and again.

Where can you order it? Amazon Germany doesn't list it, neither under the title nor its ISBN. And UK lists it as unavaialabe.
