I finally got it. I liked it. I didn't read many Commando comics, but had the impression it was pretty complex for this kind of book. It really was a hommage to Amicus. Well done, Lurker. I liked some touches and gags. But I was surprised how restraint the artwork was.
I think I recognized Cushing as one of the three gods (?), in some panels there was some likeness. But who were the others supposed to be?

I think I recognized Cushing as one of the three gods (?), in some panels there was some likeness. But who were the others supposed to be? The three officers were named in the script - but not in the dialogue - as Airforce Officer Cushing, Naval Officer Lee, and Army Officer Price. {Spoiler}Airforce for Cushing as he was supposed to be an angel, so he had 'wings', and navy for Lee as he was meant to be the 'boatman' carrying souls to the afterlife. And the army was the only one left for Price, who was intended to be a Devil, if not THE Devil. I really was imagining it as if I was being allowed to make an Amicus film in the mid-1970s, and I wanted to pay tribute to those gentlemen of horror. It was quite complex, but I enjoyed the challenge. Really glad you enjoyed reading it.

Of last years Halloween Commando's, the one I most enjoyed was Night of the Gorgons. Did you manage to get Dawn of the Gorgons? I enjoyed Night of the Gorgons even though I could only read it as an e-book, and am looking forward to the sequel. No sign of it so far though.

No. At least at A*z*n there is a gap in the availability of this series, #5683 to #5690 are still missing.

The Little Free Library Commando fairy evidently liked this year's Halloween selection enough to hang on to them (he or she have since donated all four of the early November releases). It was only through Lurkio's kind help that I secured a copy of Horror Express. None of the London WH Smiths' I tried had them.
