I know. I found out about it accidentally. I didn't know it existed.

Though LSD did actually first arrive in America in 1949.

The first Batman Black & White back then looked nice. Despite the high calibre writers it was more a showcase of artwork than good stories. Didn't knew they did it again after all those years. You need a program to keep track of the tons of Batman product.
This looks nice, but it is too good for a daily strip

This looks nice, but it is too good for a daily strip I gave up on comics over thirty years ago. I only found out about that fake newspaper strip accidentally. It is clearly more explicit than any real newspaper strip of the time. It's very good but will probably be an interesting one-off. And Frimost is a "real" demon.

I gave up on comics over thirty years ago. I kind of envy you. Can't shake the habit, even if I seldom read contemporary books any longer and buy mostly old stuff. New comcis are too expensive for their banal content and painfully PC. There was a time I bought and read every X-Men comic or Vertigo book but mostly quit in the early 2000s when there came a flood of needless reboots and writers I couldn't stand.

I recently started reading Marvel's Thor from the beginning, and, trust me, the early stuff is pretty awful. No argument there. Thor is as bad as Fantastic Four in many regards. (FF is especially painful.) A lot of early mainstream Marvel has become unreadable. And the art is often shaky.
But they later also produced books like Englehart/Brunner's Doctor Strange, Starlin's Warlock and Captain Marvel, Steranko's Nick Fury, Moench's Master of Kung Fu or Gerber's Man-Thing and Defenders.
