Witchfinder Vol. 4: City of the Dead - written by Mike Mignola & Chris Roberson, art by Ben Stenbeck (Dark Horse Comics, 2016, 5 parts)

It is back to the Hellboy universe for Sir Edward Grey, paranormal agent of Queen Victoria. The dead rise up, there is a temple below London, and there is the vampire from the early Hellboy Wake the Devil. The covers are not longer drawn by Mignola, but the tight continuity is back.

As there is so much material established in the Hellboy universe at this time, it is relatively easy to play with the gaps, even if the regular reader will know how it ends. Stenbeck's art had become looser in this, backgrounds are often not so detailed as in past tales.

But the adventures of Sir Grey are still entertaining.
