I hope people will treat this as a harmless bit of fun. Imagine you could host a dinner party, and the only guests were people out of horror/ghost fiction.
Which five people would you invite?
They could be from films or TV or comics as well as fiction. But must be fictional.
Give it a try!!

Okay, here are my five...
Lorimer Van Helsing from Dracula AD1972/Satanic Rites of Dracula
Dr Markway/Montague from The Haunting/Haunting of Hill House
Nurse Alex Price from American Werewolf in London
Margiana from Golden Voyage of Sinbad
Florence Tanner from Legend of Hell House
Yeah, I know Golden Voyage isn't horror, so if Margiana isn't allowed I will sub her for Carla from Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter.

I watched the first episode of Dark Shadows, which I enjoyed, but I don't know how to approach the series, as there are 1,225 episodes. Have you seen them all?

Don't forget she lived next to Stan and Hilda...how can chasing spooks compare to the horror of that!

Doctor Graves from Charlton Comics Doctor Phibes from The Abominable Dr. Phibes/Dr. Phibes Rises Again Vulnavia from The Abominable Dr. Phibes Vulnavia from Dr. Phibes Rises Again Elsie Tanner from Coronation Street Vulnavia doesn't speak of course. So she (both versions) is just eye candy. What is she? I mean she gets resurrected so can't be a normal person. Is she a type of spirit? I suppose the mystery adds to it, I just wonder if it was explained in other media, or the script.

According to the internet (must be true then), "In the scripted but unfilmed sequel, The Seven Fates of Dr. Phibes, Vulnavia was to be revealed as an incarnation of the goddess Athena".

I did think about watching Dr. Phibes Rises Again, and someone has a comment below the video about plans to make a TV series where Phibes solves crimes. He says you can see Phibes start to morph into a more good character in the film. But I can't remember enough about the film to comment. I've no idea if there is any truth in what he is saying, because as Dr. Strange says it's a comment on the internet.

Dr Strange, I'll be your Vulnavia, only in our version she never stops talking, obviously. We will be like this, only I play the flute. I wonder what strange things you are thinking about. Perhaps you are thinking thank goodness for that flute so she has shut up. Edited as my attempts to describe playing the flute were sounding like Carry On jokess.

Of course, even if it is true about the "scripted but unfilmed sequel", it doesn't mean that was the intention in the earlier films.

Of course, even if it is true about the "scripted but unfilmed sequel", it doesn't mean that was the intention in the earlier films. It's a bit like Star Trek and Doctor Who, which I don't pretend to understand, as I've no idea what's going on when I occasionally see them. They are constantly changing the past of the characters and the universe they are in.
