Yes, "gotten"
(From grammarist.com)
In American and Canadian English, the past participle of the verb get is usually gotten. For example, we might say, āI have gotten behind on my work,ā or, āThe book was not gotten easily.ā Got is the participle in some uses, though, such as where has got to or have got to means must (e.g., āWe have got to go to the store.ā) and where has got or have got means has or have (e.g., āI have got five sisters.ā) Thanks Swampirella, but I am familiar with the history of the term. I merely wondered at its use by, as I understand it, a member of one of the European royal families Blocked

It's too late for Sam Dawson, I'm unforgiving, but it doesn't have to be for you! Constant compliments will keep you on my good side and ensure you never go the way of this monster, into oblivion!

I don't like being called a Slime Beast, it's worse than someone thinking you are a mushroom. Please change to something more plain. Like Most Beautiful Woman in the World. Thank you.

I've just thought of a thread idea. Oh but it is late and I must sleep, so I will have to do it tomorrow. I'll lock my solid oak door and leave my champion Dr Strange to guard it from the outside. For wicked men rule the night! Goodnight.

I haven't really blocked Sam Dawson and Dr Strange. I'm just being silly. I love you both! Of course this doesn't mean I won't block you both in future if you don't behave. You have been warned!

I quite like old horror films, like the Hammer ones, and was wondering if there are any novelisations of old films that are actually worth reading, and aren't just hack work.

Hey Queen! Did you have a trawl through here? There are some good threads. I've read almost none of these however. vaultofevil.proboards.com/board/36/book-horror-film-show-etcWhen I was in middle school I read Marilyn Ross's novelization of the film House of Dark Shadows. Dan Ross (author's real name) wasn't a very good writer but the book made more sense than the movie because he included several scenes that were either deleted prior to filming, or wound up on the cutting room floor. cheers, Hel
