Please upload your book covers featuring Black-Hearted Fiends here. So we can all see them in their wicked glory, and know who we should avoid when out in public.

I think these two fit the bill, by 2 of my favorite authors! (sorry, no waxed, twirlable moustaches)

Do you have one of those covers of a woman running away from a fiend? So anyone who may encounter a fiend will know the best self defence method. Which is to run away. Obviously. Best clothing when running away should be a long dress or nightwear.

There are hundreds and hundreds of covers featuring lightly-clad women fleeing from fiends (presumably) but the d*amn fiends are never in the covers!
Edit: I can't vouch for my sweeping statement above as I just quickly looked them over, with a sad lack of meticulousness.

A prime example, great find! Or should that be "great fiend"? Probably both. I'll heed your warning about avoiding fog, which only occurs about once every 5yrs around here, but still, better safe than sorry.

The figure in the background on the cover of Shadow of Evil? That novel--originally titled Invaders from the Dark--is by Greye La Spina, one of my favorite Weird Tales writers. Great cover, too. That's the edition I own.

Another one of my favorites! Though I don't remember the ghost pirates from The Ghost Pirates doing anything specifically piratical, now that I think of it.

My Love-Haunted Heart is great blog about these sorts of books. The blog's author used to post here occasionally--for example, on the beautiful thread about Paperback Library gothics.

No mustache twirlers as yet, but these fellows look as if they might be a bit fiendish. Book covers exclusively, or can we widen the net to include magazine covers/ record sleeves/ film stills, etc?

Wow, these are top-tier fiends! Don't think I'd like to bump into your bookshelves (or any of the fiends in person, of course) down a dark alley....

That really was a superb blog. A few of us were fortunate enough to meet Sara and Danny at one of the pulp fairs. Very charming couple, liked them a lot.
