I was thinking about reused special effects in films. The Body Stealers from 1969 has the flying saucer from Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. (1966) What other films have reused special effects, or sets, or even other things like scripts? Oh, and Carry On Cleo reused costumes from Cleopatra. Does that count? Sid James looked like a shopworn Richard Burton. Now there was a man. What a voice! Patrick Allen in The Body Stealers was all man too. I don't have online photo hosting, so any photos would be appreciated.

Belated welcome, Princess. The Amicus severed hand famously turned up a few times - Tales From The Crypt, And Now the Screaming Starts, probably more.

The Roger Corman film Masque of the Red Death, one of his Poe series, used sets left over from Becket.
Carry on Cleo used sets and costumes originally intended for the Burton-Taylor epic Cleopatra.

The space pod which featured in a number of later episodes of the Irwin Allen TV series Lost in Space turned up in Land of the Giants.

this could have happened only a very long time ago and before the 1970, after which the Soviets in terms of special effects was stuck in the 50s, at the level of Z-movies it is not at all a shame to get into the hands of Curtis Harrington, especially since it turned out more fun I'm a big fan of "Night Tide"

Middoth, I agree about this instance. I'm a huge fan of Curtis Harrington.

The 1975 BBC children's science fiction series 'The Changes' uses special effects footage from Hammer's version of 'Quatermass and the Pit' to show London in turmoil with earthquakes and fires.
