Does anybody know more about the writer Philip Trewinnard? He wrote the horror novels THE BURNING, THE PASTOR and other books that seem to be situated in other genres like THE PEACE OF CARNAGE and THE RAPE OF ST. CLAIRE.
One of the horror novels (The Burning) was also translated into German in 1997 as "DAS OMEN DER FLAMMENDEN STEINE". There he was somehow misspelled as "TreVinnard".

Never noticed him. The Translation has to be his novel "The Burning". It is long out of print. But it is rare that they misspell a writers name.

The St. Clare book is available to borrow on Archive. Perhaps some basic author information is included inside.

No more information about the writer? Does f.e. anyboy know if he's the same person as the actor Philip Trewinnard? On the back flap of that book on Archive it says: PHILIP TREWINNARD is a professional actor whose first novel The Baltic Wolf was published in 1984. He was educated in Truro, Cornwall and now lives and works in London.

Many thanks for sharing these details. The only novel entitled THE BALTIC WOLF, that was published in 84, has the writer Philip Allenby. So is that a pen name of Philip Trewinnard or vice versa?
