Agog #2 (1988) The speech bubble says: ‘Could I interest you in a literary magazine?’ Yes, Craig, memory lane.

The Small Press Ark: The Baser Pulps – my scans of some of the covers of my own contributor copies from the 1980s/1990s Small Press magazine world and my comments that appeared on both the Vault of Evil and Workshop of Filthy Creation on-line forums during 2008. These are the full colour images copied and pasted direct from the internet without editorial control other than just choosing the images and words originally made by myself alone. There is no attempt to ‘professionalise’ the look of the contents, but simply to provide the images and words as a long-term collection in a real book.

That's an important book - someone needs to record all those ephemeral publications.

Hi,
I was wondering where the best place to hunt for horror fanzines was (other than a certain auction site). I have several such as peeping tom, latter skeleton crews, Sloane square, beyond the boundaries(1) but i have been trying to track down Black tears, Dead thing magazine etc. Can anyone point me at some websites/shops (int' Yorkshire) that may stock this kind of zine?
thanks in advance
(if this is in the wrong section apologize but I am claiming Newbie exemption status)

Have no idea about Black Tears or Dead Things, but several of the titles mentioned on this thread were produced in such small quantities, and so very few bothered with as ISBN number, I would be surprised if too many even made it as far as the British Library. At close of the 'nineties there was some talk of attempting a 'best of' the vampire 'zines, but, to best of my knowledge, nothing came of it, though I gather there's a Peeping Tom compilation in the works even as we speak.

Six mags just randomly found beginning with D....
I'm a bit late to this, but the "Divine Rites" cover is by me, Laurence Cornford. It was one of the few covers I got to do.

I note some images now missing from the SMALL PRESS ARK - I have now saved my own so I can replace them should they vanish.
