You may find other publications of interest on this SMALL PRESS COVER ARK thread... So many treasures... the Count Ken biography deserves special mention for a certain je ne sais quoi. Love those Poison Coffin covers. I looked up Princess Risborough as I thought it was likely the name of a drag queen but it turns out to be a village in Buckinghamshire around 9 km northwest of High Wycombe (if I'm remembering what the internet said about it). The posts from "Des" are fascinatingly cryptic since I had no knowledge of any of it. Fab covers! H.

Nostalgic reprise of the long SMALL PRESS COVER ARK thread on The Vault of Evil: Gothic Light #1(1991) All the 'Gothic Light' issues I have were certainly a significant highlight of the Small Press scene in the early nineties. One of my all-time favourites. All covers were printed on see through material (perspex?) Brave New World PublishingEditor: Abelardo Arenas Cover: Todd E Tuttle Implosion #6 (1997) A Journal of the Bizarre and EccentricThey always contained a lot of fiction. Publisher: Implosion, Florida

Gorgeous zines. Thanks, WeirdMonger! H. Thanks. The covers posted above on this whole thread under my name represent, during that era, just a small percentage of my own copies of such mags containing a story by myself!

That's very cool, WeirdMonger. Weren't you a prominent zine editor and author? I love looking at these scans.
Best wishes,
Hel

Tomorrow when I'm free I'm going to look for zines that were created in non-Engish speaking countries. I wonder if any, such as the South American countries, had their own horror underground fandom? And what about Communist Bloc? Did they have say an SF fandom (it seems more likely than horror) that circulated home produced items? I read about their home computing efforts. They were able to produce wonders given what they had to work with. Sometimes it was the unseen things that kept these countries going.

I found a couple of random zines with horror links. Both USA.
Thriller number 1 from 1972. Edited by Jerry Weddle. Price $1
Propaganda Gothic Chronicle no. 22 Spring 1995. Heavily music orientated. USA $4.95, Canada $7.50
The cover of Thriller I put up on my g**dr**ds profile in my photos. As I don't have online photo hosting.
