Happy New Year to all.
Also, this seems like an appropriate moment to say thanks to Dem for another 12 months of keeping this particular corner of the internet especially ghastly...

Hope everyone has a good 'un. And if you don't - invent time travel.

A very Happy New Year to everyone on the board. I hope 2016 will be a great year for one and all. I echo what others have said in thanking Dem for his sterling work over the past year.

Happy New Year everybody. I also want to thank Dem for his work and everybody else for their contributions. Hear, hear. Great work over the whole year but the Christmas stocking was the highlight. I don't know how I'd have got through the season without it: I might have started believing people were intrinsically nice.

Happy New YearPhoto: Donald McCullin: Spitalfields, 1973. Thank you to everyone who kept this board afloat in 2015, some of whom don't actually post on here but still offer support and encouragement. If we get through to late August, Vault will have completed ten years of droning on about our crummy paperbacks, which is such an utterly ludicrous proposition we might as well go for it. Look to the future - it's only just begun ...

Spitalfields has changed quite a bit, has it not?

Spitalfields has changed quite a bit, has it not? Much of it has been regenerated/ yuppified, yes, but there are still a few decrepit spots and, sadly, several homeless persons scattered throughout E1 & E2.
