whoever can create the most bonkers but authentic-sounding horror (giallo, slasher, zombie, 80s video, Brithorror, whatever) My entries to keep the ball rolling are Chi avrebbe potuto Forse ucciso Marian Eccles con i tre grandi Sangue macchiate Machete (original title) aka Who Could Have Possibly Killed Marian Eccles With The Three Big Bloodstained Machetes (English translation) AKA The London Strangler (UK title) AKA The First House On The Corner (US title) AKA He Stalks On Friday (US video title) (Italy, 1973)
A young woman is found dead in the Thames. The Scotland Yard man sent (Edmund Purdom) must find the killer. Is it her ex-Nazi teacher with plans for world domination (Anton Diffring), her hippie boyfriend who's gone off to Stonehenge to practice witchcraft (Ray Lovelock), his new woman (Edwige Fenech) or Marian's rich old sod of a grandfather (Ray Milland)? It turns out to be naturally a warped Korean War vet named Alan Bates (Luciano Pigozzi) who now runs a newsagent and driven insane by jazz mags, becomes obsessed with killing "plain" women.
Il Cacciatore Di Volpe (Foxhunter AKA The Second Apocalypse) (Italy/Philippines, 1981) Deer Hunter meets Apocalypse Now meets Death Wish meets the Exterminator in this bare-faced Vietnam War knock-off. Jack Pulman (Bo Svenson), a MIA Vietnam vet returns to his New England hometown to learn that his girlfriend has been killed by Vietnamese thugs who prey on war widows. His mission is to bring down the Vietnamese who threaten him and the widows of his friends. However, when he goes too far, he is kidnapped and sent back to Vietnam to relive it all, and with the other MIAs (Fred Williamson, Henry Silva, Al Cliver), plots to overcome their Vietnamese captors. They escape, but they discover that the new Ho Chi Minh City has no place for vengeful Americans.
Il Cacciatore Di Lupi (Wolfhunter AKA The Third Apocalypse) (Italy/Switzerland, 1985) Pulman is still in Vietnam, looking for justice. An SAS colonel, Woodward (Lewis Collins) is sent to hnnt the "Foxhunter".
