just a quick post to say hi and congratulate everyone on this superb resource. stumbled here just recently and have been lurking as a member for a couple of weeks lapping up the nostalgia of it all.
in my youth i was a big fan of the Pan anthologies and James Herbert and thought i'd revisit some of those but now i've been distracted by the Wordsworth books so currently E.F Benson is my bedtime read.
i won't post a lot as i mainly read sci-fi (although iain m. banks is pretty horrific sometimes) and i'm also trying to catch up with some of the edgar rice burroughs pulps.
anyway thanks again for this great resource and keep yucky stuff coming!

We'll do our best. ;D
Thanks for the encouraging words, Rob, and I hope you enjoy your time here. Would appreciate if you let us know what you make of the Benson book.

Rob Hitting all the right buttons for me Rob. The Wordsworth Benson is excellent although as you get into the end of the first third the plots become a little repetitive - fortunately by the end Benson is hitting the mark again. What SF do you like?

well when i was younger i devoured everything from heinlein, asimov and clarke whilst at the same time reading everything from herbert and king in the horror stakes. then i stopped reading anything for a long time (too busy going through my womanising phase ) later i went on a massive moorcock binge, and the since then i've dipped my toe into loads of the major leaguers e.g. zelazny, delaney, dick, pohl, bester, brunner, ballard, etc etc atm i'm on an ian m. banks binge but i know i'm coming to the end of that as his later novels are not gripping me as much as the early ones. also just finished card's Ender's Game in anticipation of the movie adaptation (very like heinlein's juveniles i thought!). definitely want to take in more of the simpler pulps now though. i have a hankering for a bit of adventure and nasty cheap horror for some easy page turners.
