Price The Secret in the Tomb (1935) The Suicide in the Study (1935) The Shambler from the Stars (1935) The Faceless God (1936) The Grinning Ghoul (1936) The Dark Demon (1936) The Mannikin (1937) The Brood of Bubastis (1937) The Creeper in the Crypt (1937) The Secret of Sebek (1937) Fane of the Black Pharaoh (1937) The Sorcerer's Jewel (1939) The Unspeakable Betrothal (1949) The Shadow from the Steeple (1950) Notebook Found in a Deserted House (1951) Terror in Cut-Throat Cove (1958) Afterword (Mysteries of the Worm) (1981) by Robert Bloch Demon-Dreaded Lore (1981) essay by Lin Carter Talking of Chaosium today, I can´t believe we didn´t covered this already in the Vault. This is the Chaosium edition which collects a lot of Robert Bloch´s Mythos tales. Currently there is a third edition which is still avaiable. With a truly dire cover. Except for three stories - The Brood of Bubasties; The Creeper in the Crypt; The Sorcerer´s Juwel - the content is the same as the collection by Zebra Books from 1981 under the same title. Still this is a lot of fun. Each story is introduced by Price, and the pre-Psycho Bloch is like another writer.

Thanks for posting this Andy. I may well be inspired to start a Chaosium thread & post covers/contents of some of the other volumes.
I have the second edition shown here, & enjoyed it greatly. Do you know if the third adds anything new other than the cover, or is it just a reprint? (I assume you mean the second edition just adds 3 new stories?)

(I assume you mean the second edition just adds 3 new stories?) Yes, exactly. Seems the first edition is just the Zebra content, right down to the Lin Carter essay. Second printing has 3 more stories. Third printing seems again to have again 4 more stories, which I discovered today on the amazon com page in a review. Which is kind of annoying.

I have the first edition of this, picked up in a San Diego bookshop in 1997. Not sure if I want to fork out for the third, although seven more stories is tempting...
