Noose and Gibbet Publishing (2010)
CONTENTS:
INTRODUCTION
THE MASK VARIATIONS ON A THEME: i CHILD PERFORMER ii SUMMER IDYLL THE OLD LADY MAKES A CUP OF TEA
ESSAY: RECIPE FOR READING APPENDIX
I'll be publishing Herbert van Thal's 'lost' collection of short stories sometime next month. Originally called 'Child Performer' - I've moved the contents around, added the essay which was originally published as a stand alone book and the appendicies will be several introductions to books that van Thal has edited in the past. This and the biography which is being reprinted by Screaming Dreams this September will see my van Thal studies and research come to an end, so have made THE MASK as completist as possible.

You will have completed a monumental task on Van Thal by the time all these have been published, a fitting tribute to the Pan Horror series that played such an important part in many of our literary lives. An amazing achievement!

A major contribution to the genre Johnny. Amazing stuff.
