Only Des Lewis could write a Steampunk battle scenario about going to the crapper. Thanks, everyone. I put forward this story as an example of the Toilet Mythos that seemed to be the topic under question (and I am surprised anyone had a good word to say about it!). Indeed, if you like that, you may like some of my stories sectioned on a passworded part of the Weirdmonger Wheel linked from here: weirdmonger.blogdrive.com/archive/245.htmlOf course, I won't give just anyone the password! Sorry, I've just noticed this is a Top Ten thread, but I wasn't the one who started talking about toilet stories! Was I? But as far as 'filthy creation' goes, what else is there? I like Rog's picture for Caroline's story, btw. Should be banned! I haven't a top ten to offer, I'm afraid. I'm throughly ashamed of myself, having just re-read ALUM CHINE and I haven't the heart, but, oh well here goes: Beethoven, AS Byatt, Ligotti, Elizabeth Bowen, Aickman, Susanna Clarke, Reggie Oliver, Lawrence Durrell, Stephen Poliakoff, Goldfrapp...These change on an hourly basis. Happy Easter! des

Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound, as they say. It might be too much for my delicate self to take, but could you PM or email me the password please, Des? Or don't you think I'm up to it?

Sending the details, Caroline. Cheers, Des. I fear I may never be the same again after reading some of these though!

Has anyone mentioned Stephen King's Dreamatcherand the shit weasels yet?
OK - I've been thinking long and hard (not on the toilet) about what top ten I could include. The first thing that popped into my head were the films of Patrick Swayze. So here they are....
1: Tiger Warsaw 2: The Outsiders 3: Point Break 4: Road House 5: Steel Dawn 6: To Wong Foo and Thanks For Everything 7: Donnie Darko 8: Dirty Dancing 9: Ghost 10:Letters From a Killer
I could do my top ten Christian Slater films next.....
