 Still having problems reading, but this is proving surprisingly easy, when I get a few minutes. Obviously more relevant to the Swedish original, but Matt Reeves seems to have read it before embarking on his remake. Some cheerful pop culture refs, such as Gene Simmons and Kiss, and their albums Alive and Destroyer (my fave). Most surprising has been a name check for James Herbert's The Fog (and The Rats!) |

Got a copy myself recently FM - sounded good though I missed the film! Am reading Pierre Boulle's Monkey Planet aka Planet of The Apes myself. It's amazing to look at the differences between the film and book. Not *vast* differences but ones probably engineered by the different markets.

One of the Swedish drunks has just been disturbed by the words Iron Maiden spray painted on a wall. He's thought about it, and decided it might refer to a band.
