Hello all. Hope you don't mind my banging on about my own book, but given that it wears its pulp heart on its sleeve, I thought it might be worth mentioning on this forum. The Scandalous Misadventures of Hiram Grange is Shroud Publishing's conscious attempt to create a modern pulp character and set him loose. Five writers, including me, collaborated over nearly two years to create his world, and then we each wrote one novella length adventure to get things going. While there is a loose 'arc-plot' across the five books, they were all created to stand alone. If anyone's interested in how we went about developing Hiram, I put together four articles charting the process last year - www.richardwright.org/category/developing-hiram/. My own novella is Hiram Grange and the Nymphs of Krakow, and has received some very nice reviews from various quarters (Brian Keene's cover blurb was especially welcome!). The blurb reads: "Hiram Grange is already broken when his world is turned upside down by the horrifying revelations of a beautiful and dangerous woman. Faced with the possibility that he’s been a pawn in a diabolical game, he seeks the truth in the snows of Krakow. But the truth is guarded by ancient, winged things, and the truth has teeth..."I hope you'll look it up on Amazon next time you swing by.
