I have very fond memories of JB's ground-breaking phone-in on LBC Radio in the seventies. Practical-joker supreme. This, I'm afraid, is not a practical joke.

I once bumped into him 3 or 4 times on the same day when I was living in Bognor Regis. Apparently they held the annual Clown Convention there.

Jeremy was also something of an authority on the Jack the Ripper murders and The Cloak & Dagger Club will certainly feel his loss. Beadle regularly compered their quiz nights and even coined the collective noun for a group of 'Ripperologists' - a speculation.
All that Game For A laugh/ You've Been Framed stuff did nothing for me but he was a lovely guy by all accounts.
