The Vampire in all its glorious depravity has haunted the imagination of humanity since the dawn of time. The seductive lure of the undead lover who corrupts your body and destroys your soul has an undeniable appeal which transcends morality and mortal decency. Sex laced with death is the ultimate taboo which still remains to be broken.
In the 33 stories within this book you will discover the wildest excesses of Vampiric sexual debauchery.
Taste the warm red liquid. Experience the carnal pleasures that the dark and irresistible world of the Vampire has to offer. For tonight we lust in blood...
With Illustrations by Duncan GutteridgeContains material which may offend After a build up like that, I should certainly hope that it does. When Rog kindly sent me his copy of In Blood We Lust last year, my reaction was not the "Phwoar! I must get stuck into that!" you might expect but more of a "Oh, it's the former 'Louis de la Nuit' from the London Vampyre Group, used to take Jack the Ripper tours 'round here. I think it's quite possible he's come to shock us all out of our bourgeois complacency again, etc." And just a cursory ogle of the x-plicit pencil drawings suggests that I am right! Beyond that, it would be unfair for me to comment at this stage. For all I know, this might be a brilliant selection .... it's just .... I recognise at least two names from the contributors list ... and have yet to muster sufficient enthusiasm to make it past the introduction. But the day is approaching. Besides. Couldn't find it in me to open Ivor Watkins' The Bloodsnarl for about a decade and ended up loving it to death! What did you make of this one, Rog (or anybody else who's read it)?
