is this guy jammy or what? "These books were found on 24/01/01 in a skip behind a book auctioneers premises somewhere in London. They shall not be named. Shame on them. They are clearly oblivious to the true value of these classic titles ..." Mr. Da Geez Corps goes on take a swipe at stupid charity shop policy regarding such treasures, proof, if any were needed, that he is a man after our own hearts: see his haul from the day at Da Geez Corp's Forgotten Fiction collection

Amazing. At first I was jealous, then I thought wouldn't it be good if that happened to me. Then I got that awful chasm when I thought of how much of value has been tossed out into he skip in the past

i'm just glad there was someone there to handle the emergency.
Dave Gibson of the Fantasy Centre (RIP) once told me about the time a guy strolled into the shop, put a book on the table and asked if he bought this kind of thing. The book was a first edition of Ghost Stories Of An Antiquary and Dave's never seen a copy in better condition. 'Where did you get this?' 'Oh, it was in a skip. There were all these other books, but i just took the one on top ....'
