Well, I'm sorry to say that we've been unable to keep Pantechnicon ezine going - or, rather, get it going again following the technical problems with the website. So, we've decided to pull the plug after several very enjoyable years.
BUT we're going out in style! Thanks to our knight in shining armour - Stephen Theaker of the BFS - our tenth (and final) issue will be going out "back-to-back" with Theaker's Quarterly Fiction (http://www.silveragebooks.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/mag/tqf/tqf.htm) in December. This means that, for the first time, Pantechnicon will be available not only as a free PDF download, but also in ebook format, AND in printed format to purchase from Lulu. Thanks, Stephen, you're a star!
I'll keep you informed of contents, etc, later, but there's one interview which I think will be of particular interest to Vaulters - "The American Godfather of Gore: An Interview with Herschell Gordon Lewis". This is one interview that I would love to claim as my own, but it was in fact sent in by Pantechnicon reader Mackenzie Lambert. ;D

oh bum. i knew there were problems with the forum and the site as whenever i checked there was always that wretched 'Reported Site Attack!' message, and the longer that goes on, you know it's a big one. i'll miss Pantechnicon, the forum in particular - there was a pleasant atmosphere about the place and i particularly liked the question & answer sessions with Micheal Marshall Smith and Ramsey Campbell. I'm glad #10 will be available in hard copy as it's certainly the most fitting note to go out on. Good luck to Troo, yourself and the regulars - i'm sure we've not seen the back of you yet.

Thanks, Dem - 'tis sad to see it go. If it wasn't for Pantechnicon, I wouldn't have discovered how much I enjoy myself interviewing anyone I can get my hands on, so I'm very grateful to them for that. Once this last issue's sorted, I can start persuing other interviewees and places to put my interviews! ;D

The Stephen Gallagher, Ramsey Campbell and Dr. Terror ones really did it for me - i was glad when the latter turned up in The Thinking Man's Crumpet #2 because i'll always prefer a fanzine over an e-book. i'm sure i've blabbered on about this 1 million times before but i can quite happily read an interview or review off a computer screen but find stories a real struggle to the point i rarely bother any more. it's not fair or the author if i'm dying to get it over and done with. And now i'm going to contradict all that 'cause i've just noticed that FM, 'master of the macabre' has posted a new Gregory Pendennis & Ripton Torn adventure!
