"A sparkling array of exciting fiction to chill you, mystify and fascinate you - hours of breathless entertainment presented by some of the world's greatest literary talent at their unforgettable best"
All of which is probably true, but - call me mr. definitional purist if you must - the reason it was omitted was because, as far as i remember, the only stories that really touch upon horror are The House In Goblin Wood and The Diamond Lens. But it's lovely to have for the cover painting alone.
The editor, at least nominally, is Dorothy L. Sayers, Panther having whittled down her three volume Great Short Stories of Detection, Mystery and Horror into a more manageable seven stories! there's also a 1975 edition but can't say i remember seeing a copy.
