Fave stories in this one was the twist on the 'Witch claimed by the Devil' story by Selina De Puck: 'The White Service' and limbo-london jaunt 'Rueben (ghost of a performer)' by Neckinger Nell. That S M Swaby can write an atmospheric story too.
Will try and do a full write up t some point but time is short and I won't mind if anyone guzzumps me.

Good luck with #7 Skitster. Judging from the blurb, it's certainly not short on ideas. I like the Smilers credit card on the PDF.
The smilers are coming and it's nothing to laugh about. Neither for that matter are were-carp in the Fleet, child swallowing goblins from Middlesex or the party boat afloat on the Thames hosting the office rave that never ends. This bumper edition also has haunted prams, a man who becomes part of the street furniture and another you really shouldn't stare back at. What could this be but the latest One Eye Grey bringing a chill to the heat of a city summer.
One Eye Grey 7 is bigger and tastier than previous ones and be a bit of a transport special featuring strange tales underground and over ground as well as fleet of satanic sedan chairs.
Ben, apologies for not acknowledging your kind offer sooner but i've only just caught your post!

a few weeks back we were lurking around covent garden and wandered into that lovely little bookshop that does occult stuff round the back of the market - bugger, can't remember the name - where we picked up OEG 1-3 and 6, so i'm sorry to say that i've missed your story so far, ben...
but bugger me, what a cracking read - 1-3 are themed so that they run almost as a serial and serialised novel centred around the same group, and it's a great one at that. i'm a sucker for london themes anyway, and there was some lovely stuff in these. 6 was a bit patchy, so perhaps i preferred it when it was just the two main writers, but even so there was only one story that left me cold in 6. now that's not a bad batting average for an anthology of any size.
i'd really recommend these to anyone who hasn't come across them yet, and i need to complete the set.
if you want to try just one, then although 1-3 run together loosely, they can be read seperately with no loss, and i'd start with 2 - A Goose In Southwark - which was my particular favourite and has all the strengths gathered together!

er, i'm not sure. i think it begins with a T, and has some tatty black lace curtains and stuff outside while looking like someone's study inside.
maybe 5 & 7 were sold out 'cos people knew your stuff was in there? odd that those were the issues they didn't have, though! i shall get on to the website and recitfy this.
now stop making me feel guilty, or i shall mention saturday's result...

well a loss would've been worse but been seeing far too many draws this season - although in fairness we didn't get going last year till after christmas.
