I'm not even going to try and apologise for advertising my UK folk tour with Penni Mclaren Walker here. If you haven't switched off already I've listed the gigs so far, below purely so any vault members can suss out if they are near by and hopefully come out for a pint, - then in a drunken stupor - offer us a couch or a place to pitch our tent. I can't reconcile folk with Horror unless we go down The Wickerman route.
(Incidentally, when I first met Penni she had the 24th Pan Horror on her bookshelf as well as a few other gems which I tried to steal.)
11th September Osmotherly Folk Gathering 'Burning the Water' To be confirmed 12th September The East Anglian Medieval Fayre. March, Cambridgshire 13th September 'Woodfest' Takely, Essex (solo) 22nd September The Bluebell Inn, Hempstead, Essex (solo) 26th September The Plough Farcet Fen with Burning the Water 20th October Chapleton Folk Club The Bully Inn, Quarter. Scotland with 'Burning The Water'

Brilliant, Johnnie. How will I recognise you? - pink carnation, dismembered corpse under arm.... Look forward to seeing you there

Ooo, that looks interesting - I love folk (as well as horror)! But they seem either too far south or north for me. Doing anything around the Yorkshire area, Craig? Oh, and that's around the time that I'm going to Buxton to see Ian Anderson (17th) and then on to FantasyCon in Nottingham, so if you were doing anything in the Midlands around that time it might be possible to squeeze you in too.
(BTW are you going to FantasyCon as you're clearly in the country around that time?)

I'd like to go to fantasy con but might have to settle for busking in Nottingham as the budget's pretty tight...I'll keep posting up gigs as they come along. We need to try and find one or two on the way up to scotland

Ah well, if you're busking in Nottingham when I'm there too I might pop a few pennies in your collection tin - or even buy you a pint or two if you like!

Peake also designed the original Pan logo. Craig, I shall be bringing the proof cover to #29 with me as well for your well honed autograph....

Peake also designed the original Pan logo. I didn't realise that! Johnny, you're a wealth of amazing knowledge. How do you do it? ;D
