Dell (April 1978) Where to begin with this book? I don't even know why I bought it - the cover is the shittest I've ever seen, but I was drawn by the 'Three Tales of the Supernatural' tagline. It does feature a really good essay and storyboard layout on 'An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge' and has a nice interview with the director on his Bafta (1963) and Oscar (1964) winning film. The Masque of the Red Death - ha! another reason why I bought it, Roger Corman would be in the book! Get the book home and it's actually about the Czechoslovakian ( ) animated version of Poe's story. Banal. Finally we come to Dickens' The Signalman. Only good thing about this is reading the script. The people who put this book together should be ashamed of themselves. Oh well - it IS an oddity....

Is the script of "The Signalman" the Andrew Davies script for the BBC's Ghost Story for Christmas? I'd no idea the scripts for any of the GSfC had been published.
