This is probably very cheeky of me. Dem, you can give me a good spanking and delete my post if you wish  Over at Pantechnicon (www.pantechnicon.net) we're now planning the next 3 issues - Sept, Dec, and March 2010. Troo has had to step out of it for a while due to other things going on in her life, and there's a team of us now working on the zine as editorial staff. My role is to co-ordinate the non-fiction, which will be returning in issue 10 in September. But, I have a need for more article writers and interviewers. Now, there's such a wealth of information here on this forum, and you guys are just amazing in your knowledge of various things - Pan Horrors, Amicus films, Guy N Smith, etc, etc. Would any of you be interested in doing an article for me for Panties on a topic of your choice? Or - I know there are some interviewers here - does anyone want to grab someone famous and interview them for us? If you fancy giving it a go, PM me or email me c/o the submissions email address: submissions@pantechnicon.net And if I've done wrong by posting this, Dem, I'm getting myself braced for a right good spanking ...   LATER EDIT: Ooo, I forgot to say ... it isn't just articles/interviews on horror I'm looking for. If any of you are into sf or fantasy (don't worry, your secret will be safe with me ), we'd be interested in that too. Panties spans all of them. ;D |

Glad to see you're fast getting back to your old self!
Hope you get a positive response. would like to help, but truth is, i'm still attempting a proper article that should have taken all of ten minutes to write - and i started over two months ago ....
i'm not sure if this is a useful suggestion, but perhaps you might like to go about it the other way. Instead of getting the posters to PM you, if you find a couple of items on here of interest, why not pm the author(s) concerned and ask if they'd be interested in giving them a spruce up (if needs be) for Pantechnicon?

Glad to see you're fast getting back to your old self! It takes more than a barium enema to stop me in my tracks! Good suggestion about me going after people rather than waiting for them to come to me - but I think I'm going to play hard to get for now and see if anyone (else) comes to me first! I did have you, Dem, down as a possiblilty - knowing how knowledgable you are, and what a nice, witty writer you are too - but it looks like I might have to scrub you off my list for now  Anyway, if you ever change your mind and want to do something for me in Panties, you know where I am. |
