Robert E. Howard - The Right Hand of Doom and Other Tales of Solomon Kane - Wordsworth (2007)
Solomon Kane (Red Shadows) nv - Kane finds a young girl dying by the roadside, and his sense of justice decrees that her killer, Le Loup, must die - even though he flees from Europe to the African jungle.
Skulls in the Stars ss - Kane is warned by fearful villagers not to cross the moor by night, as something has been killing unwary travellers for the past year, but he does so anyway...
The Right Hand of Doom ss - Kane sees at close hand the diabolic lengths a condemned necromancer will go to kill his betrayer on the eve of his own execution.
Rattle of Bones ss - While staying at the Cleft Skull Tavern in the Black Forest, Kane is betrayed by his travelling companion, threatened by the sadistic host, before finally witnessing revenge from beyond the grave by the skeletal remains of an enchained sorcerer.
The Moon of Skulls na - On the trail of a kidnapped English girl, Kane seeks out a black-walled city in the African jungle where the inhabitants still perform ancient bloody rites under the Moon of Skulls.
The Hills of the Dead ss - Kane encounters the vampiric undead in their African hills, with the help of N'Longa, practitioner of ju-ju magic.
The Footfalls Within ss - Encountering a raiding party of Arab slavers, Kane is eventually overpowered by sheer weight of numbers. During the march back to the coast the party discover an ancient mausoleum deep in the jungle, in which Solomon swears he can sense the incessant footfalls of its restless occupant.
Wings in the Night nv - Kane has seen many strange things during his wanderings through the heart of Africa, but none stranger than those he finds in Bogonda. A village shows signs of being attacked from the sky, human bones are everywhere and - most terrible of all - he finds a horribly mutilated man, just barely alive, bound to a stake. After being attacked by a winged monstrosity, Solomon learns about the Akaanas and the terrible fate that has befallen the inhabitants of the twin villages of the Bogondi.
Blades of the Brotherhood (The Blue Flame of Vengeance) nv - Young Jack Hollinster wounds Sir George Banway in a duel before it gets stopped by the local magistrate, with both of them vowing that the next time they meet no one will get in the way. Jack then meets Solomon Kane, himself on the trail of an infamous pirate, Jonas Hardraker - who just happens to be in league with Sir George...
Death's Black Riders unfinished fragment - Kane encounters the apparition of a black-clad horseman.
Untitled (The Return of Sir Richard Grenville) pm - Kane receives help from the ghost of a long-dead friend.
The One Black Stain pm - The story of the parting of the ways between Solomon Kane and Sir Francis Drake.
Solomon Kane's Homecoming pm - Weary of wandering the world, Solomon Kane returns home to Devon and tells the locals of the things he's seen - only to get the wanderlust again...
There are also three more unfinished Solomon Kane fragments that Wordsworth have not included in this excellent collection -
Castle of the Devil, Hawk of Basti and
The Children of Asshur. All three fragments were completed by Ramsey Campbell, unsuccessfully in my opinion, when Bantam printed the stories in 1978 - but the original fragments can be seen readily enough, most recently in the Del Rey collection
The Savage Tales of Solomon Kane in 2004.
