The Bank Job.
Supposedly based on a true story and starring Jason Statham in the main lead role. Lin and I thought it was bloody good. The plot starts off simply enough but gets a little more involved as the film moves along. I won't spoil it for you by writing the details here. The movie is set back in the 70's. (No mobile phones, what a relief.) Great acting by Statham...after we watched it Lin and I pondered if Jason shouldn't have got the role of James Bond instead of Daniel Criag. Jason just seems so much more realistic as a hard man.
I think we've yet to see Statham in a role where his tough guy acting would really dominate. Stick him in something like the role of Bond and we reckon he would really shine. He'd make a great Callan/John Craig or Jack Carter.
Cheers: Jaq.
