Ye Gods, that looks like a combination of a dream come true and an absolute nightmare for me! Watching people trampling over books would cause me to be a little irritable, I fear.

Standing on books....sickening. However, I suspect that most of the books were not very interesting. My experience of these huge buildings stuffed full of uncategorised books is an endless afternoon wasted finding one book that might be worth half the value they've placed on it. A announcement of free books would have a book dealer round in about fifteen minutes and the first car to leave would have had anything interesting in it.
At least that's what I tell myself to alleviate the pain.

Even so, I'd love to be the very last bastard through the door when everyone else has had their pick and departed, so i could hover vulture-like over all the dead books they've passed on. Horror or otherwise, there'd be a trashy treasure or ten among 'em, i'll wager.
